DPS Administrator
The W Group is seeking an RN Administrator/Director of Patient Services (DPS) to oversee the Assisted Living Program and Licensed Home Care Services Agency operations. This role is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, financial stability, clinical care, and quality assurance across all departments while supervising staff and managing external partnerships.

Responsibilities
Facility & LHCSA Oversight
Oversee clinical services, staffing, and financial operations for both ALP and LHCSA within New Fordham and its satellite locations
Ensure regulatory compliance with state, CHRC, ACF, LHCSA, and DOH guidelines
Assess, develop, implement, and update care plans for ALP residents, ensuring a patient-centered approach
Supervise medication administration, conduct medication audits, and monitor documentation for accuracy and completeness
Conduct Quality Assurance (QA) checks, ensuring timely documentation and follow-up
Act as the primary contact for PACE providers, managing resident care coordination and communication
Ensure cleanliness and safety of the facility
Staff Supervision and Development:
Provide direct supervision to clinical staff in New Fordham Arms and remote oversight for LHCSA staff in satellite locations
Lead and participate in daily morning meetings and staff huddles
Lead the interview and hiring efforts for gaps in staffing for the facility
Oversee onboarding of new staff, provide training, and ensure adherence to clinical protocols
Ensure completion of monthly and quarterly in-service training, working closely with corporate for training content
Manage employee files, disciplinary actions, and terminations, ensuring documentation is accurate and complete
Financial and Operational Management:
Oversee the budget, profit/loss metrics, payroll processing, and expenditure monitoring
Ensure timely completion of payroll, overtime monitoring, and budget variance reporting
Manage bed holds and hospitalizations, ensuring compliance with facility policies and DOH regulations
Monitor PNA (Personal Needs Allowance) distribution and maintain oversight of cash handling and resident accounts
Quality Assurance and Incident Reporting:
Conduct Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) plans based on QA findings
Ensure all incidents, accidents, and unusual occurrences are promptly reported to DOH and documented in the incident log on both the ALP and LHCSA sides
Lead emergency preparedness training and ensure staff readiness for various emergencies, including natural disasters and medical emergencies
Coordinate and oversee facility fire drills, emergency evacuation procedures, and safety trainings
Prepare the entity for survey readiness at all times
Communication and Corporate Reporting:
Serve as the primary point of contact for New Fordham Arms related to corporate communication, attending mandatory meetings including but not limited to weekly calls, and monthly in-person meetings, and any ad-hoc trainings
Review and manage census, staffing, incident management, financial performance, and regulatory compliance reports
Work collaboratively with case managers to address resident concerns, discharge planning, and care coordination
Maintain open communication with external healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care and service coordination
Compliance and Documentation:
Maintain comprehensive documentation of resident care plans, staff training records, incident reports, and regulatory compliance audits
Ensure proper recordkeeping of all facility documentation, including fire drills, hood cleaning, water testing, and vendor services
Develop and implement corrective action plans as needed to address identified deficiencies or non-compliance issues
Be familiar with the latest regulatory updates on the operations pertaining to ALP/LHCSA
Review prior DOH survey results to ensure no repeat deficiencies occur
Additional Duties:
Perform other duties as assigned by corporate management to support the operational and clinical success of New Fordham Arms
Maintain a high standard of professionalism, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance at all times
Qualification
Required
Registered Nurse (RN) license
Experience in healthcare administration or management
Knowledge of regulatory compliance for Assisted Living Programs (ALP) and Licensed Home Care Services Agencies (LHCSA)
Strong leadership and staff supervision skills
Ability to develop and implement care plans
Experience in financial management and budget oversight
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to conduct quality assurance checks and incident reporting
Experience in training and onboarding staff
Knowledge of emergency preparedness and safety protocols
Preferred
Experience with PACE or MLTC programs
Familiarity with Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) processes
Previous experience in a similar role within a healthcare facility
Master's degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration
