Responsibilities

Perform technical work in a small clinical laboratory or work in a large clinical laboratory under the direction of a supervising clinical laboratory technologist

Confer with medical personnel

Coordinate laboratory operations with medical staff requirements

Plan and be responsible for the technical clinical laboratory program

Develop and install necessary changes in laboratory procedures

Estimate and order necessary laboratory supplies, materials and equipment

Provide technical direction to and work with a staff of technologists and assistants

Recommend necessary changes in laboratory procedures
