Responsibilities

Supports a systematic engineering approach to the design, architecture, requirements elicitation, development, operation, and use of cloud technologies and platforms for solutions
Architects, plans, and implements cloud infrastructure solutions that balance simplicity, standards, scalability, extensibility, supportability, and integrity
Maintains the day-to-day health of the Company’s cloud and on-premise infrastructure, taking all steps to ensure its productivity and optimization through continual monitoring and corrective actions
Evaluates new cloud technologies and makes substantiated recommendations for improvement
Monitor, maintain, and administer the Company’s cloud privacy posture through evaluation of existing cloud infrastructure to identify risks or opportunities for improvement with the Manager of Information Security
Ensures technical solutions meet the Company’s quality, security, and compliance requirements
Monitors the Company’s cloud and on-premise networks and server infrastructure for operational issues and threats and implements configurations and procedures to protect the Company’s resources
Supports the Company’s telecommunication infrastructure by designing, installing, configuring and troubleshooting the Company’s cloud-based PBX implementation
Supports the Company’s on-premise network infrastructure by designing, installing, updating, debugging and configuring the network devices and related components
Analyzes technical requirements, designs program structure, writes code, prepares documentation, tests and implements continual system maintenance through automation
Supports the Company’s BCDR planning, management and testing
Trains and offers guidance to team members in the day-to-day operational support duties related to cloud infrastructure
Pursues professional development opportunities to advance knowledge and expertise in the area of cloud administration and management. Remain current in market trends/practices (e.g., methodology, tools, technical specifications, and other developments)
Identifies the best cloud architecture solutions to successfully meet the strategic needs of the Company
Perform other duties as directed by the Manager of Information Technology related to departmental goals and the mission of the Company

Required

Possession of a bachelor's degree in a computer/network/technical or related field
Directly related experience (may be earned concurrently) in the following areas:
Ten years' experience with network infrastructure configuration and maintenance
Five years' experience with system administration
Three years' experience with cloud-based designing, executing, and supporting IT cloud solutions
Experience in deploying and upgrading infrastructure through code repositories and pipelines
Experience with Azure cloud services (e.g. Azure AD, Azure Integration Services, Azure Logic Apps, hybrid cloud, advanced cloud security, Azure compute and storage services)
Experience managing Office 365 services
Experience working with agile methodologies
Experience in key aspects of platform performance and availability monitoring and administration in a 24x7 production environment required
Strong initiative and the ability to work successfully in an environment with minimal direction

Preferred

Experience administering VOIP PBX systems
Experience administering OPNSense and PFSense firewalls
Experience administering Active Directory and Azure Entra ID
Experience administering Office 365
Experience with PowerShell, Python, or other automation programming language
Knowledge of Terraform, Ansible, or other IaC tools
Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve difficult network and system related problems using troubleshooting and decision making
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
