They are seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineering Intern for the Summer 2026 season to support process improvement projects aimed at enhancing safety, quality, and productivity at their San Luis Obispo site.

Responsibilities

Evaluate and measure process performance

Identify root causes of poor process performance

Prove the causes

Develop countermeasures to mitigate causes

Implement mitigating actions in a timely manner

Check if the mitigations worked

Standardize the improvements

Required

Completion of 2 or more years with selected major in Industrial or Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering

Must be a currently enrolled student

Available to work 40 hours a week, M-F (8a-5p) beginning in mid-May/June through August/September

Must be familiar with the universities requirements to participate in an internship program

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to manipulate mechanical assemblies and objects of 25 lbs; Mobility to be able to investigate and observe shop floor activities
