Responsibilities

Assumes personal responsibility to ensure a safe and healthy workplace for everyone. Adheres to all safety policies/procedures and incorporates safety and health in all job duties/tasks

Adheres to safe work practices, follows GMP’s, maintains sanitary conditions and ensures that product quality is maintained. Reports any conditions or practices that may adversely affect employee safety or food safety/quality to management immediately

Follow USDA, FSIS, FDA, Customer and MFI guidelines

Attends and actively participates in FSQ & safety meetings/trainings

Review daily production paperwork

Use SAP to access and enter product COA information

Release product from quality quarantine hold in SAP as needed

Provide COAs to all customers requesting finished product test results and notify drivers of release of product (SSL Tankers only)

Perform general office duties such as filing documents

Keep accurate and complete documentation of work performed and results of any testing done

Ability to maintain regular and consistent attendance

Will be in a rotation for weekend work as scheduled

Perform other duties as assigned

Required

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent

Must be able to work individually and in a team

Ability to cooperate and communicate with all employees and management

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering information

Computer skills including the spreadsheet and word-processing programs, e-mails

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English

Ability to write simple correspondence

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
