Senior Services Supervisor
NEOGOV is dedicated to supporting and strengthening individuals and families in Union County. The Senior Services Supervisor will oversee the scheduling and performance evaluation of staff, provide training, and ensure compliance with departmental standards while promoting community partnerships.

Responsibilities
Schedules, assigns and reviews work
Evaluates performance, ensuring all work is in adherence to departmental standards and pertinent government regulations
Issues oral and written reprimands, recommends suspension and termination, and recommends other personnel actions (e.g. leave of absence, wage increase, etc.)
Authorizes sick and vacation leave
Provides training, guidance and direction and assists with the development of agency policy and procedures
Advises the deputy director and agency director of unit needs and/or concerns providing a potential solution
Prepares activity reports, compiles related statistics and completes special projects as assigned by the deputy director and agency director
Monitors the sales tax budget, in-home health services and provider contracts, and reviews requests for proposals for services and sales tax levy grants
Conducts daily screening meetings for APS referrals and leads and documents screening decisions
Assists in preparing monthly newsletter including writing articles
Assists Deputy Director in promoting Senior Services by establishing rapport with key community partners, and planning and coordinating events
Performs Medicare insurance counseling
Monitors grants and contracts
Conducts periodic staff meetings
Attends required trainings and conferences to keep abreast of current developments in the field
Research and coordinates case activities with other agency units, and partner agencies (law enforcement, prosecutor’s office, probate court, mental health agencies, Board of Developmental Disabilities, etc.)
Encourages lease restrictive safe option efforts through partnership with other resources
Determines the need for services and coordinates services and placements with attention given to least restrictive, least intrusive environment
Monitors appropriateness of services provided and facilitates change as necessary
Determines the need for court involvement and court orders to be requested to ensure the senior is safe
Assists in emergency situations in office and after-hours as needed
Performs other duties as assigned by the Deputy Director and Director of Human Services
Maintains required licensures and certification, if any
Supervises Service Coordinators, and other staff as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a Human-Services related field
OR a combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the duties of the position
Minimum of three (3) years related work experience demonstrating increasing responsibilities in supervision and social services issues
Must have good verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance
Consistently and continually represents the agency in a positive and professional manner and provides appropriate internal and external customer service
