Responsibilities
Partner with the President and executive leadership to shape long-term vision for the tax function
Build strong cross-firm relationships to ensure tax strategy supports broader business objectives
Design and implement innovative tax planning initiatives that optimize outcomes for clients and enhance firm performance
Provide strategic insights and risk assessments on complex tax matters, with emphasis on entrepreneurial and high-net-worth clients
Oversee the preparation, review, and timely filing of all required tax returns and related documentation
Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
Qualification
Required
15+ years of progressive tax experience, including leadership roles in professional services or entrepreneurial environments
Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage complex client engagements, and contribute to strategic growth initiatives
Strong technical foundation in both business and individual taxation, with a broad and advanced tax accounting skill set
Ability to navigate complex planning and compliance issues and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Expertise in state and local tax, deferred compensation, succession planning, and multi-entity structures
Proven success managing client relationships across diverse environments, including small businesses, large corporations, and high-net-worth families
Leadership in tax strategy and planning
Strong communication skills
Technical expertise in tax compliance
CPA or JD
Preferred
Experience with high-net-worth clients
Knowledge of multi-entity structures
