New Grad, Entry LevelNevada Gold Mines is a collaborative and dynamic mining company looking for an Open Pit Blast Technician to join their Phoenix Operations team. The role involves safely measuring, priming, loading, stemming, and tying in blast holes, while ensuring a clean and safe work area.

Responsibilities
Safely and effectively measure, prime, load, stem and tie in blast holes
Ensure drill area is properly cleaned before drilling and maintain an awareness of what is happening in work area - other traffic, machinery and plant, individuals
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Meet Federal and State eligibility requirements on handling explosives required
Valid Nevada drivers' license required
Ability to carry at least 50 pounds required
Excellent verbal, written, and radio communication skills required
Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team required
Satisfactory safety, performance, and attendance records required
Preferred
Previous Surface Blasting experience preferred
Explosive handling experience, especially in a mining environment preferred
Heavy equipment operating experience preferred
