This role is responsible for executing detailed product testing and analysis to ensure products meet quality and performance expectations, supporting new product development and safety investigations.

Responsibilities

Conduct mechanical, material, and performance testing on consumer products to identify design, material, and operational weaknesses

Execute accelerated life testing protocols to validate durability, safety, and expected product lifespan

Perform dimensional analysis and material evaluations, including assessments of metals, polymers, coatings, and assemblies

Document test results, including measurements, photos, engineering notes, and data trends

Provide technical feedback during product design reviews, highlighting performance risks and improvement opportunities

Support root cause and corrective action investigations for failures, safety issues, or negative performance trends

Validate supplier corrective actions to ensure underlying issues are resolved

Develop, modify, or assemble test fixtures, jigs, and tools used in standardized or specialized testing

Assist in evaluating new or alternative suppliers through product testing and material verification

Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient laboratory environment aligned with internal safety and quality standards

Required

Education: Associate degree or equivalent technical training

Experience: 1–3 years in product testing, quality assurance, materials analysis, or related field

Technical Skills: Mechanical engineering principles, materials science, dimensional inspection tools, accelerated life testing, root cause analysis methods, basic electrical safety exposure, and proficiency with data acquisition tools and Microsoft Office

Soft Skills: Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, clear communication, and ability to manage multiple projects

Preferred

Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt) preferred

testing or laboratory certifications are a plus

Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
