LHH is partnering with a respected Jacksonville law firm to hire an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant. This role provides key support to attorneys handling medical malpractice defense and construction litigation, requiring strong organizational skills and the ability to manage complex cases in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Manage litigation files, scheduling, and attorney calendars
Draft, revise, and e-file pleadings, motions, subpoenas, discovery, and correspondence in state and federal courts
Obtain, review, and summarize medical records; prepare chronologies and deposition summaries
Coordinate expert witnesses, depositions, hearings, and trial preparation
Assist with reviewing construction documents, organizing project materials, and communicating with contractors, experts, and insurers
Prepare discovery responses, document productions, and trial notebooks

Required

3+ years of litigation legal assistant experience; medical malpractice or construction litigation experience highly preferred
Strong working knowledge of Florida state and federal court rules and e-filing procedures
Excellent proofreading, organizational, and communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management software
Ability to handle multiple deadlines and work independently
