Qualification
Required
High School Graduate / GED
Scheduling & Coordination: Booking surgical and diagnostic procedures, optimizing operating room (OR) resources, and coordinating with physicians, offices, and anesthesiologists
Patient Communication: Communicating appointment details, managing patient inquiries with compassion, and ensuring clear, concise interactions
Previous experience in surgery, as a unit clerk, or medical secretary is often needed
Skills: Proficiency with scheduling software, EHRs, strong time management, organization, communication, and empathy
Knowledge: Familiarity with medical terminology and HIPAA privacy laws
