Pricing Analyst

Responsibilities

Set and maintain member cost and suggested retail pricing to support corporate and member margin and competitiveness objectives
Monitor market and competitor pricing to support competitive, market-aligned pricing decisions
Support line reviews through pricing analysis and execution support
Respond to member pricing inquiries and provide timely, accurate resolution
Actively participate in department and team meetings
Perform ad hoc business analysis and reporting to support pricing and business decisions
Manage member cost and suggested retail pricing in alignment with corporate pricing strategies and margin goals to drive competitiveness and profitability
Perform detailed line review analysis to establish baseline analytics, support the merchant team throughout the project, and set cohesive category-level pricing aligned with category objectives and corporate pricing strategies
Review vendor cost changes and execute established processes to ensure timely, market-aligned price adjustments
Monitor competitor pricing to identify pricing gaps and implement adjustments that maintain competitive, market-relevant pricing
Maintain competitor pricing repository hygiene, including adding and validating equivalent and exclusive brand matches, and identifying, documenting, and escalating data quality or integrity issues
Build and maintain collaborative partnerships with Merchandise Managers and cross-functional stakeholders to support pricing activities, line reviews, and ongoing pricing initiatives
Continuously develop product and category knowledge to apply category context, market dynamics, and merchandising considerations to pricing analysis and recommendations
Maintain two-way communication with Pricing Leadership to proactively surface pricing issues, exceptions, risks, and insights, and to receive guidance on priorities and decisions
Receive, evaluate, and respond to member pricing inquiries or concerns in a timely manner, coordinating with internal partners as needed to support accurate resolution
Extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets using Excel, SQL (Teradata, Databricks), and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, TARGIT) to generate actionable insights and support pricing decisions
Develop and maintain pricing dashboards and reports to support pricing strategy reviews and decision-making
Support pricing actions throughout the product lifecycle, including launches, markdowns, phase-outs, and auctions
Support data integrity by validating pricing inputs and identifying, correcting, or escalating errors related to invoice cost, member cost, or suggested retail price
Participate in the price change approval process and track implementation status to ensure end-to-end execution
Complete required pricing analyst training and ongoing development activities to remain aligned with pricing best practices, tools, and methodologies
Document and maintain tools, templates, and key learnings to support knowledge sharing, standardization, and process efficiency across the pricing team

Required

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
1-3 years of experience, preferably in Finance, Merchandising, Pricing, Supply Chain, or similar industry
Intermediate knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and Relational Databases (SQL)
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Creative problem-solving skills, great verbal and written communication skills, and excellent organizational skills
Accuracy-focused analytical approach
Must be able to work with minimal supervision
Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
Personable with a teamwork and customer service mindset
