Aircraft or A&P Mechanic (M-F, 1st Shift)
Wipaire is a leader in engineering and manufacturing aircraft floats that transform standard airplanes into versatile seaplanes. They are seeking an Aircraft or A&P Mechanic to perform a variety of aircraft maintenance tasks, including inspections, repairs, and documentation, while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities
Performing a variety of aircraft maintenance tasks, including:
Conducting annual aircraft inspections and documenting maintenance needs
Executing repairs and maintenance per workbook instructions, Wipaire standards, industry best practices, and FAA regulations
Maintaining and repairing aircraft components; assembling and installing flight controls, engines, pneumatics, fuel, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, hydraulic systems, and related accessories
Repairing and modifying aircraft structures and structural components
Applying technical expertise to diagnose equipment malfunctions by inspecting components such as landing gear, hydraulic systems, and de-icers for cracks, leaks, or other defects
Maintaining, repairing, and rebuilding aircraft structures, floats, functional components, and parts—including wings, fuselage, rigging, hydraulic units, oxygen and fuel systems, electrical systems, gaskets, and seals
Utilizing comprehensive technical knowledge to resolve moderate to complex issues through interpretation of blueprints, technical manuals, and manufacturer documentation
Ensuring all maintenance activities comply with safety and regulatory requirements
Accurately documents all preventive and corrective maintenance performed on aircraft as required
Airframe & Power Plant (A & P) license preferred, but not required
Ability to meet FAA regulatory and safety requirements in all aspects of the work
Perform lifting of supplies and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
Hear, speak and effectively verbally communicate in the English language, including following oral and written instructions, in order to communicate with people inside and outside the organization
Stand, squat, reach, kneel, bend, and twist/turn for extended periods of time and perform long hours of work in the shop and hangar, repairing and maintaining aircraft
Must be able to use hand tools, including wrenches, hammers, power tools, and other tools used in testing aircraft and parts, and a computer, phone, and photocopier
Must have all required tools designated within 90 days of starting employment
Must comply with Wipaire FOD prevention plan
Qualification
Required
Ability to meet FAA regulatory and safety requirements in all aspects of the work
Perform lifting of supplies and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
Hear, speak and effectively verbally communicate in the English language, including following oral and written instructions, in order to communicate with people inside and outside the organization
