Customer Loyalty Solutions Architect
MMD Services is seeking a Customer Loyalty Solutions Architect to bridge the gap between loyalty strategy and technology. The role involves translating loyalty concepts into scalable systems and overseeing integrations, while ensuring alignment across business and technical teams.
Responsibilities
Partner with marketing, product, CRM, and digital teams to understand loyalty program rules, member journeys, and campaign logic
Break down loyalty concepts into clear system requirements, workflows, and technical designs
Ensure requirements are unambiguous, implementable, and aligned across teams and vendors
Define how loyalty data is structured, stored, and shared, including:
Member profiles
Transactions and point balances
Tier status and benefits
Engagement and campaign activity
Create and maintain data models and integration specifications that support analytics, personalization, and reporting
Design data and system flows between loyalty platforms, POS systems, mobile apps, CRM tools, and enterprise data warehouses
Guide decisions around APIs, event-driven data, and batch pipelines
Partner with engineers and platform teams to ensure solutions scale globally and perform reliably
Translate business needs into technical language and explain technical constraints back to non-technical stakeholders
Lead design discussions and working sessions to align teams on how solutions should function
Reduce delivery risk by identifying gaps, dependencies, and edge cases early
Ensure loyalty solutions align with enterprise architecture, data standards, and privacy requirements
Identify opportunities to improve data quality, performance, and system efficiency
Support ongoing enhancements as loyalty programs evolve across brands and markets
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
6+ years of experience working in technical business analysis, solution architecture, or data architecture roles
Strong understanding of loyalty or customer engagement programs (points, tiers, offers, redemption, personalization)
Advanced SQL skills and experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Azure Synapse)
Experience designing data models and documenting system integrations
Hands-on experience with API-based integrations and modern data pipelines
Familiarity with enterprise loyalty platforms such as Salesforce Loyalty, Oracle Loyalty Cloud, SessionM, Annex Cloud, Comarch, or similar
Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams
Preferred
Experience in hospitality, travel, retail, or other high-volume consumer industries
Exposure to customer identity resolution, CDPs, or real-time personalization
Knowledge of data privacy and regulatory standards (GDPR, CCPA)
Experience supporting experimentation, analytics, or loyalty performance optimization
