Responsibilities
Design, implement, and manage centralized cloud security policies
Build and maintain continuous auditing and compliance solutions
Develop frameworks that help identify security issues before they reach production
Establish and maintain cloud security standards aligned with industry best practices
Monitor, investigate, and respond to security incidents, including on-call support as needed
Collaborate with development teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines
Identify and recommend improvements to strengthen overall security posture
Provide guidance and technical leadership to junior team members
Qualification
Required
4+ years of experience securing AWS cloud environments
5+ years of experience in security monitoring and incident response
Strong experience with Linux systems and serverless architectures
Hands-on knowledge of AWS security services including IAM, WAF, GuardDuty, Config, CloudFormation, and AWS networking from a security perspective
Solid understanding of application security best practices (OWASP, CWE/SANS)
Experience with automation and configuration tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
Strong understanding of infrastructure-as-code concepts
Proficiency in a modern scripting language
Familiarity with CI/CD platforms and version control systems
Experience or exposure to container security and Kubernetes
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field
Self-directed and proactive problem solver
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to balance security, scalability, and usability
Interest in staying current with evolving cloud security trends
Preferred
Development experience in Java or Python is a plus
