Responsibilities

Own the end-to-end compute platform used by Simulation and ML teams
Collaborate closely with internal teams to understand requirements for large-scale autonomous vehicle data
Prototype, build, and refine scalable compute solutions, ensuring low latency and high performance
Evaluate, integrate, and enhance open-source and internal tools (e.g., Spark, Ray, Beam, Airflow, Argo)
Lead, mentor, and coordinate engineering teams, providing guidance and documentation for platform adoption
Take ownership of platform strategy, balancing hands-on development with leadership responsibilities

Required

Strong proficiency in Python (required); C++ experience highly desirable
Hands-on experience with distributed computing frameworks and workflow orchestration (Spark, Airflow, Ray, Beam, Argo, Kubernetes)
Proven leadership in the architecture and development of large-scale data processing infrastructure
Experience handling large-scale data pipelines and understanding ML pipeline requirements
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Experience with sensor data from autonomous vehicles or robotics
Understanding of ML/AI and experience building ML pipelines
Experience optimizing performance and costs of distributed computing systems
