The City of Colorado Springs is seeking a District Crew Leader for their Street Sweeper Operations team. In this role, you will oversee street sweeping operations to ensure vehicle and pedestrian safety while training equipment operators and providing administrative support to your supervisor.

Responsibilities

Safely operate construction and maintenance equipment such as street sweepers, dump trucks, plows and sanders, front end loader, skid steer, semi-tractor trailer, tanker, hand and power tools

Snow and Ice operations along with other emergency response as needed for different events (snow, rain, hail, wind, fire, and all other special events)

Operate a single or tandem axle dump truck with plow and sander

Apply chemicals, abrasives, and other ice control products during snow removal operations

Perform preventive maintenance on a variety of equipment

Perform manual labor such as shoveling heavy debris gutters and pedestrian ramps

Maintain log and record books

Provide lead supervision; schedule and coordinate the activities and services of assigned staff

Perform a variety of skilled construction and maintenance tasks

Required

Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade (high school diploma or GED)

Five years of full-time, professional experience in a related field, including one year of supervisory experience

Possess and maintain, a valid, non-probationary Colorado Class A Commercial Driver's License, not subject to restriction related to alcohol and/or drug violations or pending charges
