The Investor Accounting Analyst II is responsible for preparing monthly bank reconciliations for various custodial accounts and providing guidance to less senior team members while ensuring best-in-class service to investors and customers.

Responsibilities
Prepare monthly cashbook and test of expected reconciliations for various investor custodial accounts, including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Ginnie Mae, and Private portfolios
Prepare monthly reconciliations of customer Escrow accounts
Prepare daily / monthly reconciliations of Clearing accounts
Researches and resolves loan and account variances and clears accounts in accordance with investor and regulatory guidelines
Works with Investor Reporting team members to resolve items within the investors' accounts
Maintains and follows procedures and controls within the monthly process
Assists with internal and external audits
Heavy use of Microsoft excel for data analysis and reporting
Handle ad-hoc reporting or research as directed by management
Calculate interest and percentages; balance accounts; add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; locate routine mathematical errors; compute rate, ratio, and percent, including the drafting and interpretation of bar graphs
Investigate, reconcile, and provide timely resolution to all investor issues and reconciliation exceptions
Research operational, reporting, or data issues and present solutions or process improvements to management
Performs related duties as assigned by management
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent required
2-4 years of Mortgage Servicing experience required
Advanced MS Excel experience required
Strong math skills
Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices
Solid analytical skills, particularly regarding assessing the probability and impact of an internal control weakness
Working understanding of operational risks and related controls
Strong organizational and time management skills necessary
Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and excellent organization skills
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
Prior Investor Accounting experience preferred
SQL or other database reporting experience preferred
Servicing Director knowledge a plus
