Ethics & Compliance Manager: Legal Regulatory & Compliance (Hybrid)

Responsibilities
Ensuring adherence to relevant laws, standards, and Cisco’s Code of Business Conduct through the design and implementation of robust compliance policies, processes, internal controls, learning, communications, monitoring, testing, and continuous improvement—always with a focus on operational excellence and driving data-based ethical decision-making
Driving compliance initiatives, including in relation to gifts, travel, and entertainment; conflicts of interest; risk assessment; third-party management; and mergers, acquisitions, and strategic investments
Providing timely, commercially minded mentorship, embedding Cisco’s principles of visibility and accountability into all business operations
Championing Cisco’s innovation strategy by demonstrating automation, AI, and data in compliance initiatives to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability
Crafting data dashboards; analyzing metrics; identifying trends, risk areas, and strategic priorities; and translating sophisticate risk and control data into actionable, clear insights for management reporting, supporting Cisco’s data-driven culture
Qualification
Required
Bachelors + 5 years of related experience, or Masters + 2 years of related experience
Extensive knowledge of global anti-fraud and anti-corruption laws, relevant mentorship, enforcement actions, and ethics and compliance program developments, ensuring adherence to legal and ethical standards
Experience derisking conflicts of interest and transactions that pose high risk for fraud and corruption and researching, crafting, and implementing end-to-end compliance initiatives, including policies, processes and tools, learning and engagement, monitoring, testing, and continuous improvement
Outstanding listening skills and a high degree of discretion and tact; ability to be viewed as a trusted resource among colleagues and employees with the ability to conduct informal counseling and coaching
Excellent verbal and written audience-centric communication skills with the appropriate tact, diplomacy, and ability to effectively influence individuals of varying backgrounds, learning styles, and seniority
Preferred
Effectively prioritizes tasks and leads workload to consistently deliver high-quality outcomes within established deadlines
Demonstrates adaptability and proactive problem-solving in response to evolving strategies, priorities, responsibilities, and changes within ethics and compliance
Formal project and change management training and experience
Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP or CCEP-I), Fraud Examiner (CFE), or Leadership Professional in Ethics & Compliance (LPEC)
Experience working in the technology industry and handling channel risks
