The QC Associate I will perform routine testing of QC samples primarily using flow cytometry-based assays, manage daily workflows, and participate in data analysis and equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities

Become proficient in required laboratory techniques, equipment operation, and software used for testing, data analysis, and reporting

Perform routine QC tests following standard protocols and operating procedures

Work with human blood, mammalian cell cultures, and/or animal tissues when required

Prioritize daily workload and build independence in completing assigned tasks

Analyze data, report results, and complete all documentation and database entries accurately

Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment; escalate issues to QC Supervisor/Manager

Maintain logs, documentation, and laboratory records

Prepare reagents, lab supplies, and support routine lab maintenance

Contribute to a safe work environment; identify and report hazards

Participate in Environmental, Health & Safety programs

Support cross-functional team activities and departmental projects

Participate in cross-training and other assigned duties as needed

Qualification

Flow CytometryBiotech Laboratory ExperienceTissue CultureMicrosoft ExcelMicrosoft WordAnalytical SkillsCommunication SkillsAttention to DetailProblem-Solving Skills

Required

Hands-on Flow Cytometry experience (data acquisition and data analysis)

2+ years in a biotech laboratory environment

BS/BA in a related scientific field or relevant college coursework with lab experience

Tissue Culture experience (highly preferred)

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word

Strong understanding of general laboratory safety practices

Effective written and verbal communication skills

Strong attention to detail with accurate record-keeping abilities

Analytical/problem-solving skills and ability to follow established procedures
