Responsibilities
Generate new ideas using daily reports (Briefing, Earnings) and regular scans of the codebook
Write up and present ideas at a weekly meeting
Acquire a common language for succinctly communicating new ideas, by building understanding of the general partners methodology and investment orientation
Build and maintain company spreadsheet models that highlight the investment theme and metrics of interest for each business. Potentially oversee the outsourcing of this function, and train/manage the outside consultant who assumes responsibility
Perform field research on an as-needed basis: channel checks, vendor inquiry, investigative research, competition checks, product testing
Interview management via phone and company visits
Qualification
Required
Experience in research analysis or a related field
Strong analytical skills
Ability to generate new ideas from daily reports and codebooks
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience in building and maintaining spreadsheet models
Ability to perform field research including channel checks and vendor inquiries
Experience in interviewing management and conducting company visits
