Responsibilities
Own the adoption and long-term success of Axia contracts across the Eastern US
Act as a subject matter expert for public agencies, helping them understand how cooperative purchasing fits into their broader procurement strategy
Develop deep, long-term relationships with procurement leaders, administrators, and decision-makers
Work closely with our lead agencies and suppliers to ensure their Best Value contracts are meeting the specific needs of the East Coast market
Serve as Axia’s voice in the region through industry associations, conferences, and key forums
Provide structured feedback to Axia’s executive team on market needs, competitive dynamics, and growth opportunities
Qualification
Required
Proven track record in sales, business development, or account management, ideally in the public sector, cooperative purchasing, government, or B2G services
Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to communicate effectively with senior leaders and frontline procurement professionals
Self-starter who is comfortable working remotely, managing a territory, and operating with a high degree of ownership and accountability
Quick learner with strong sales fundamentals who is eager to grow into a leadership role over time
Preferred
Familiarity with public procurement or cooperative contracts is preferred, but not required
