Responsibilities

Design, integrate, and test GNC, tracking, and/or servo control algorithm solutions for missile and fire control products
Develop, verify, and validate both complex models and simulations such as missile 6-degree-of-freedom simulations (6-DOF) and effects-based simulations
Evaluate system performance in complex scenarios and environments and verify system and subsystem level requirements
Perform critical studies, analyses, and test activities
Support ground and flight test efforts including Hardware-In-The-Loop (HWIL) activities
Support program reviews and technical interchange meetings with internal leadership and/or external customers

Required

Candidate must have a Bachelors or Masters degree in computer science, physics, computer engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, applied mathematics, or similar
Candidate must have demonstrated the ability to perform one or more of the following Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC) or Modeling and Simulation (M&S) assignments based on completed course work or professional experience: Develop and analyze algorithms such as guidance, navigation, autopilot, inertial tracking, Kalman filtering, and servo control algorithms
Develop and/or verify/validate complex vehicle models and simulations such as missile 6-degree-of-freedom simulations
Candidate should be proficient in one or more of the following languages: Python, C++, Matlab
Demonstrate strong math skills in the areas of linear algebra, matrix math, statistics, trigonometry, and coordinate transformations
Security Clearance: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Preferred

Candidates with master's degree in related discipline
Proficiency with Linux
Ability to perform preflight system performance assessment and post flight verification analyses
Experience designing and analyzing target tracking and terrestrial navigation systems
Experience with optimal state estimation filters such as extended Kalman filters (EKF)
Demonstrated skills in probability, statistics, and Design of Experiments (DOE)
Experience with Model-based systems engineering (MBSE)
Experience deploying algorithms that satisfy real-time performance requirements
