Responsibilities
Develop and lead tax strategies, assess the tax impact of critical initiatives and lead tax decision making that improve shareholder value
Oversee efficient and accurate global direct and indirect tax compliance
Drive efficient and accurate tax processes including automation and tax specific technology tools
Ensure documentation and appropriate support for technical positions
Periodic communication to the Board of Directors
Ensure accurate tax accounting under FAS 5 and ASC 740
Ensure each Tax Team member has a development plan and continues to grow in their career
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 15 years of tax experience, combination of Big 4 public accounting firm experience and global public company
Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience
Proven ability in translating complex tax issues and requirements to people without tax backgrounds
Strong team building experience
Passionate about process improvement and team member development
Exercise senior-level judgment and inspire confidence among Tax Team, senior leaders and stakeholders, internal and external to HireRight
Proven ability to define goals and prioritize your and your team's work in a sophisticated and ambiguous environment
Strong analytical thinking and writing skills
Preferred
Ideally CPA and Masters in Taxation
Experience with SAP, CorpTax, OneSource, RIA Checkpoint, Bloomberg Tax, Vertex, and PTS
