The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a Reporting and Analytics Senior Analyst to join their Population Health and Quality Improvement Analytics section. The successful candidate will engage in health services research and provide technical support for quality improvement projects focused on chronic conditions, working independently on moderately complex tasks while assisting with more advanced projects.

Responsibilities

Leads or assists with the development of and provides technical assistance for the development and coding of quality measures

Reviews Electronic Health Record (EHR) data received from clinical sites participating in quality improvement collaboratives

Analyzes data including developing quantitative reports and visualizations with aggregated results of quality or population health metrics

Composes technical reports, manuals, and presentation materials

Presents results in clear format to non-technical audiences

Reviews work products from subcontractors

Conducts literature searches and literature reviews

Assists with institutional review board (IRB) applications and other data governance requests

Designs and executes linkage strategies for connecting administrative datasets

Works with data dashboards and addresses data quality issues

Required

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent is required

A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree or 2 years of relevant experience with an advanced degree in a relevant field of study is required

Requires successful completion of a background check

Selected candidate may be asked to complete a pre-employment physical including a drug screen

Preferred

Demonstrated usage of R, SAS, or Stata for data analysis

R coding experience is preferred

Experience working on quality improvement initiatives or population health research, including developing clinical or population health quality measures

Training in quality improvement science is preferred
