Responsibilities

Ensure an exceptional customer experience by addressing inquiries, providing product recommendations, and resolving concerns

Maintain a welcoming and professional retail environment while holding staff accountable for customer service standards

Create and manage employee schedules in alignment with operational needs and labor budgets

Monitor labor costs and make adjustments as needed to meet financial goals

Lead, coach, and develop team members through goal setting, observation, feedback, and recognition

Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching

Ensure staff are trained on product knowledge, sales techniques, and compliance requirements

Partner with Human Resources to support onboarding, training, and professional development initiatives

Foster a collaborative, motivated, and accountable team culture

Ensure full compliance with corporate policies, employment laws, and state and local cannabis regulations

Maintain accurate and compliant record-keeping practices

Oversee inventory control procedures, including product tracking, expiration monitoring, returns, and disposals

Ensure compliance with METRC or Biotrack and all regulatory reporting requirements

Oversee inventory levels, ordering, product rotation, and freshness to meet customer demand while minimizing loss

Implement and enforce theft prevention protocols, including security systems, staff training, and procedural safeguards

Monitor and report suspicious activity or incidents and address safety or security concerns promptly

Conduct end-of-day transaction audits and reconcile cash and sales reports

Analyze operational data to identify improvement opportunities and cost-saving measures

Ensure adherence to internal auditing standards and external regulatory requirements
