The Vice President, Divisional Merchandise Manager (DMM) – Seasonal Merchandise is responsible for shaping and executing the seasonal merchandising strategy, owning the full seasonal P&L, and driving profitable growth through assortment planning and vendor partnerships.

Responsibilities

Own and set the long-range merchandising vision and seasonal strategy for all assigned seasonal categories across all channels, aligned with corporate growth, margin, and member value objectives

Lead the development of category strategies, including assortment architecture, pricing, promotions, and lifecycle management across all seasonal businesses

Serve as the P&L owner for the Seasonal Merchandise division, accountable for sales, profit and inventory turns; proactively identify risks and opportunities, implementing corrective actions to deliver or exceed financial plans

Drive margin improvement through strategic sourcing, cost negotiations, pricing discipline, and markdown optimization

Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Sr/Category Managers, Associate and Assistant Merchants; establish a culture with clear goals, high performance expectations, and strong accountability across the organization

Lead end-to-end seasonal assortment planning, informed by strong data and insights and delivering member-centric, trend-right, and appropriately price-tiered product assortments

Partner closely with Planning & Allocation, Digital, Operations, Own Brand, Marketing, Merchandise Operations and Finance teams to ensure seamless execution of seasonal programs

Work closely with the Assortment and Space and Club Operations teams to develop and manage high-impact merchandising statements that deliver an outstanding shopping experience for members and optimize inventory flow, lead times, and in-season replenishment, to mitigate seasonal risk

Build and maintain strategic vendor partnerships, across branded and own brand suppliers to deliver products with outstanding quality and value to members

Partner with sourcing, quality, and compliance teams to ensure ethical sourcing, product safety and quality, and regulatory compliance

Required

15+ years merchandising experience in medium-large retailers focused on general merchandise categories (toys, seasonal, home goods, apparel, etc.)

Demonstrated strategic and financial success at senior merchant levels in fast-paced, growth environments, especially those requiring transformational category management

Excellent leadership skills with a strong focus on talent development, communication, empowerment and engagement; comfort with ambiguity and guiding teams through change

Positive, sustained impact in complex environments, where collaboration and influence were critical to success

Demonstrated ability to balance creative and analytical thinking, intuition, and data to drive assortment evolution including exploring new lines of business and partnerships
