Senior Systems Administrator / Infrastructure Engineer (MSP)
Bowman Williams is a well-established Managed Services organization that has been supporting Houston-based businesses for nearly two decades. They are seeking a Senior Systems Administrator / Infrastructure Engineer who enjoys hands-on infrastructure work and aims to grow into advanced engineering and project ownership. This role involves administering Microsoft 365 environments, managing Active Directory, and supporting Windows servers while collaborating on larger initiatives.
Responsibilities
Administer and support Microsoft 365 environments, including tenant configuration and optimization
Manage Active Directory and identity-related services
Support and maintain Windows servers and workstation environments
Configure, deploy, and support firewalls, switches, and wireless infrastructure
Work with SonicWall firewalls and Ubiquiti switching/WAPs
Deploy and maintain Hyper-V environments
Implement and manage Microsoft Intune for endpoint management
Participate in network and infrastructure deployments (servers, firewalls, switches)
Troubleshoot complex issues across systems, networking, and cloud platforms
Partner with senior engineers on project planning and execution
Qualification
Required
Experience in a Tier 2 / Tier 3–level technical role within an MSP or similar environment
Strong background in Microsoft 365
Strong background in Active Directory
Strong background in Windows Server environments
Strong background in Networking fundamentals
Strong background in Firewall administration
Hands-on experience with SonicWall and Ubiquiti preferred
Comfortable working across both systems and networking layers
Strong troubleshooting mindset and attention to detail
Clear communicator who enjoys working directly with clients and teammates
Desire to grow into more advanced engineering, project ownership, or architecture
Preferred
Hands-on experience with SonicWall and Ubiquiti
Certifications are a plus (Microsoft, Network+, Azure, etc.)
