Responsibilities
Read, understand, and apply policies and guidelines
Work faxes in a timely manner to verify that documents meet Medicare guidelines
Use Brightree ERM on a continuous basis to maintain patient records
Answer and respond to incoming phones calls in an exceptional quality manner
Verify and run insurance eligibility
Effectively communicate any order necessities required with the Patient Care (Sales) Representative
Enter and edit patient records, including notes on the status of the order
Obtain information from a variety of sources, including patients and caregivers
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, caregivers, internal and external referral sources
Use tact and empathy in working with patients and families under stressful situations
Perform multiple tasks with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
Qualification
Required
Passionate about providing top level customer service and care each day
Deep level of care, organization, and detail into daily work
Prior experience in medical field and/or extensive customer service experience highly desired
2 Years of Call Center, billing or office administrative experience
Upbeat, friendly personality
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
High school diploma or GED
Candidates must be able to successfully pass background and drug screen
Preferred
Medical field experience preferred but not required
Bilingual preferred, not required
