Responsibilities
Spearhead mission-critical regulatory, product and commercial counsel across banking, BaaS, payments, and technology verticals, working directly with our partners while driving innovative legal solutions in a fast-paced environment
Partner closely with clients to review new products, advise on regulatory risks, and draft terms, disclosures, and related agreements
Lead commercial contract negotiations aligned with business and regulatory goals
Architect privacy and compliance solutions for cutting-edge highly regulated tech platforms
Deliver general counsel services across a broad range of practice areas, enabling clients to rely on a single, streamlined source for comprehensive legal support
Provide strategic, business-aligned counsel with an in-house mindset
Qualification
Required
NY licensed attorney
3–5 years of experience at a top-tier firm or in-house legal department; strong credentials are important, but we value demonstrated excellence over pedigree
Background in privacy, banking, payments, financial services, and/or fintech
Exceptional ability to think creatively and balance rigorous legal analysis with pragmatic, business-focused advice
Meticulous attention to detail
Eagerness to lawyer like an owner, deliver client service that exceeds expectations, and embrace the entrepreneurial opportunity of being our first hire
