Responsibilities
Prepares final design and layout of daily, weekly newspapers and special publications with exactness and high levels of accuracy using software programs provided, i.e., In-Design, Photoshop, Word and Excel
Build print and online infographics
Build news illustrations, illustrated charts and graphics
Add online design elements and formatting for new stories
Adept at deadline work and creative solutions
Delivers ideas and information through visual communication
Ability to work well with other and interact with effective communication
Maintains courteous communication between departments: legal, editorial, advertising, print
Exceeds customer expectations in a courteous and professional manner. A customer is anyone who contributes directly or indirectly to the revenues of the organization
Basic knowledge of office equipment including computers, email, scanners and copiers
Participates in company safety policies and procedures
Cross train on other jobs for back-up purposes and related duties as assigned by management
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing any customer service related duties to the desired results as needed
If the essential functions of the position require the employee to drive, they must provide and drive vehicle, possess a valid driver’s license and necessary amount of auto insurance

Detail oriented, strong organizational skills, flexibility and ability to work independently
