Responsibilities

Review and analyze financial statements, tax returns, bank records, credit reports, and business plans

Assess borrower creditworthiness, repayment ability, and collateral value

Identify and assess risks, providing clear recommendations on credit decisions

Prepare comprehensive credit memos with recommendations for approval, modification, or decline

Ensure loan requests comply with company policies, underwriting guidelines, and regulatory requirements

Collaborate with loan officers, relationship managers, and credit committees during the decision-making process

Maintain adherence to lending regulations, compliance standards, and internal risk controls

Monitor industry trends, economic conditions, and portfolio performance to identify potential risks

Support periodic reviews of existing borrowers to ensure ongoing credit quality

Work closely with sales, portfolio management, and operations teams to support business growth while maintaining credit quality

Communicate underwriting decisions and rationale clearly and professionally to internal stakeholders

Provide feedback and guidance to strengthen applications where appropriate

Annual conference participation and support, and other duties as assigned by ED
