The Facilities Maintenance Technician II is responsible for ensuring the distribution center's equipment and facilities are safe, efficient, and in peak working condition by troubleshooting and repairing various systems and overseeing maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical problems related to all material handling equipment and the facility building , including automated conveyor systems

Troubleshoot and resolve systematic and physical and robotic issues

Troubleshoot and repair three ply printer issues

Operates all types of material handling tools in order to perform maintenance and repair

Oversees outside service providers for necessary repairs when independent contractors are required

Executes preventative maintenance on the facility and equipment as required

Responds and closes out work orders for the facility

Maintains the maintenance shop and work areas in a clean, safe & organized condition

Participates in ongoing training regarding technology upgrades and new systems applicable to the position

Performs all job tasks assigned by the department leadership staff to achieve and maintain daily productivity and quality goals

Required

Possess good troubleshooting skills

Possess good electrical, mechanical, carpentry skills

Ability to interpret blueprints and schematic drawings

Ability to work under time constraints

Ability to work on PCL, other sensor and scanning devices

GHS (Global Harmonized System for Hazardous Waste) knowledge

Good communication skills, and attention to detail

Ability to work in a team environment

Ability to certify on powered industrial equipment

Possess a complete understanding of training and communication resources relevant to the position

Maintains an awareness of loss prevention, security and safety following the guidelines as outlined in the Company Code of Conduct and Associate Policy manuals

Basic English Language proficiency

3+ years of experience with automated conveyor systems and controls

3+ years of experience in repair of material handling equipment

Degree from vocational school or college, with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field, or equivalent experience
