National Levee Design Leader

The role involves leading geotechnical engineering efforts for flood risk management structures and developing proposals while managing a team of professionals in large-scale flood resilience projects.

Responsibilities
Candidate should be able to perform engineering analysis; develop preliminary and detailed design of flood risk management system components such as levees, floodwalls, weirs, flood control channels, seawalls and others; write specifications; and develop construction documents
Be the geotechnical engineer of record on projects
Support leadership to develop a team of professionals that delivers multi-disciplinary flood resilience projects
Develop strong client relationships
Lead multi-disciplinary teams of professionals on large design projects
Lead strategy and capture planning on pursuits of large design projects
Manage, lead, execute, and/or provide technical support for resilience, water resources, and hazard mitigation projects within the municipal, regional, and federal markets
Communicate with clients, establish goals and objectives for project teams, and schedule and coordinate resources to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the performance expectations of the client
Qualification
Required
BS in Civil Engineering (with an emphasis in geotechnical engineering), MS or PhD degree preferable
At least 15 years of experience in flood resilience, flood control and water resources
Professional Engineer License and ability to apply for reciprocity in various states
Progressive experience conducting business development and project delivery on flood resilience and flood control projects especially for the U.S Army Corps of Engineers
Demonstrated experience as the geotechnical engineer of record
Knowledge of USACE, FEMA and similar agencies standards and procedures for design
Knowledge of coastal engineering, riverine engineering and offshore marine engineering is a plus
Candidate must have strong technical writing and communication skills
Experience using CAD programs such as AutoCAD, Microstation and others
Experience using Geotechnical Design Programs such as Geostudio, CWALSHT, CTShoring, Ensoft suite, HELIX, DeepEx and others
A clean driving record is required
