Responsibilities

Support cloud-based systems built on Kubernetes, Hadoop, and other open-source technologies

Ensure the operational stability of mission-critical platforms

Provide Tier 1-3 support, including participation in a rapid on-call rotation

Work a mid-shift schedule, including Fridays and Saturdays

Troubleshoot and resolve issues in Linux environments

Collaborate with a highly skilled team to continuously improve system reliability and performance

Required

Active TS/SCI with Poly required

Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related field

An additional 4 years of work experience can be substituted in lieu of this degree requirement

8+ years of relevant experience, including:

7+ years with RedHat/CentOS (command line, provisioning/kickstart)

7+ years Linux/Unix networking (nmap, tcpdump, firewalls)

2+ years RedHat DNS administration (DNS, host files, DHCP)

Proficiency in Bash, Python, and configuration management tools (e.g., Puppet)

Experience monitoring and troubleshooting cloud-based Linux systems, especially large Hadoop/Accumulo clusters

Ability to diagnose and escalate network, data flow, and system issues

8570 IAT Level I+ certification required prior to start (Security+ preferred)

Must have one of the following certifications prior to start: AWS DevOps Engineer - Professional, CDP Administrator - Private Cloud Base, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
