Responsibilities

Repair systems such as HVAC, heating, refrigeration, water, and energy as necessary

Repair bathroom fixtures such as sinks, bathtubs and toilet as necessary

Maintain and/or replace integral fixtures such as door hardware, compactors, and trash chutes

Maintain quality of paint in equipment rooms as well as other building facilities

Perform general electrical work as necessary

Perform general carpentry work as necessary

Perform general maintenance and cleaning in mechanical spaces and perimeter inductions units

Inspect fire safety systems for any potential issues to functioning

Maintain and repair sanitary sewer systems such as sump pumps, basins, water closets, urinals and piping

Maintain and repair all kitchen equipment, excluding any equipment owned by tenants

Remain available in the instance that the superintendent of the building is unavailable

Complete assigned “work orders”, including, but not limited to: moving of office-related furniture, equipment and supplies on an as-needed basis; requests for delivery of extra bottles of water for water coolers during the day; and cleaning the interiors of small office refrigerators and defrost periodically. Work orders will also include tasks related to function set-ups and take downs
