Responsibilities
Coordinate Patient Transfers: Manage the deployment of UVA’s medical transport teams across internal departments and external health systems
Facilitate Real-Time Communication: Serve as the central link between EMS providers, hospital teams, and operational leaders
Support Critical Care Logistics: Help ensure smooth transitions for patients during emergencies and routine transfers
Qualification
Required
High School diploma/GED required
Certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) in the Commonwealth of Virginia required
AHA Health Care Provider BLS CPR certification required
Preferred
Communications center experience and/or basic dispatcher course/dispatch experience preferred
