Evictions Paralegal
Aldridge Pite, LLP is a multi-state law firm focused on leveraging technology for efficient legal service delivery. The Evictions Paralegal will perform eviction-related functions, including preparing court documents and managing case statuses in landlord-tenant matters.
Law Enforcement
Responsibilities
Provide paralegal support to attorneys and the Eviction Department
Prepare, serve, and monitor legal notices
Prepare, file, and serve summons and complaints
Monitor cases
Monitor hearing schedules
Communicate with clients regarding litigation matters via email and phone
Manage and update client case management systems
Verify property addresses using foreclosure documents
Review leases and ledgers, and prepare rent demands
Handle incoming phone calls from defendants, clients, court clerks, and sheriffs
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma
Ability to communicate professionally with clerks, judges, and attorneys
Must understand/learn eviction law and local jurisdictional requirements
Proficient in software tools, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and internet-based applications
Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills
Provides excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders
Identifies and resolves issues in a timely and effective manner
Works well as a team player and is willing to assist others within the department as needed
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Conscientious with respect to work quality, deadlines, time management, and attendance
Takes initiative when faced with obstacles by identifying needs and proactively taking action
Demonstrates a commitment to the Firm's vision, mission, and core values
Analytical and detail-oriented while able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Builds professional relationships and establishes rapport with colleagues and clients
Exhibits a strong work ethic and adaptability in response to change
Preferred
Legal experience preferred, but not required
Prior knowledge of the eviction process is preferred
