Chico's FAS, Inc. is a leading fashion retailer in North America with a diverse portfolio of brands. The Merchandising Intern will assist the merchandising team in various tasks including developing seasonal strategies and supporting the purchase order process.

Responsibilities

Assist the merchandising team with the development and execution of departmental seasonal strategies, maintenance of assortment sheets and compiling of reports

Support the team with the purchase order process, preparation for key PLC meetings and maintenance of samples

Develop a clear understanding of the customer and the competition and assists through the entire product life cycle process

Be exposed to the total business processes and procedures

Gain an understanding of the roles of the retail professionals

Assist with special projects as assigned

Required

An eye for trend and passion for the fashion / retail industry

Experience working in Excel (Pivot Tables, V Lookups)

Exposure to weekly selling reports and costing

Junior or Senior status at an accredited college or university with minimum GPA of 3.0

Interest in pursuing a career in retail

Strong communication, organizational skills, and an eagerness to learn
