Responsibilities
Serve as the main liaison between product management and the engineering team, understanding the product strategy as defined by product management
Collect product requirements from key buyer audiences and end users
Coordinate the creation of product mockups and prototypes
Fulfill the product owner role, principally responsible for prioritization and maintaining (or grooming) a backlog which maximizes outcomes aligned with the product strategy (roadmap) for one or multiple agile development teams
Write and present the product requirements document
Oversee and sign off on the functional spec
Oversee the product as it is being built by development/engineering
Communicate with stakeholders during the development of a product to keep them updated
Coordinate testing of a product, including user acceptance testing, alpha and beta programs
Collect, coordinate, and prioritize bug fixes
Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Development/Engineering, UX/Product Design, Regulatory Analysis, Customer Support, Professional Services, and Product Marketing
Leverage AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance product development processes and deliver innovative solutions
Qualification
Required
5-10 years in a related field
Complete understanding of the Product Owner role within agile frameworks
Subject matter expertise of a product portfolio segment and/or instrumental technology
Ability to balance gut feel judgment and logical analysis, with willingness to make decisive calls
Ability to define priorities and lead teams with a results-driven attitude
Proactive collaboration skills to align cross-functional teams on strategy, planned releases, and growth
Strong stakeholder engagement skills, using a wide range of communication techniques to clearly convey the why, how, and when
Ability to optimize priorities and scope to ensure maximum value is delivered (maximize outcomes, not outputs)
Experience with or openness to adopting AI-powered tools to streamline product development workflows
Due to client contractual obligations, the successful candidate will be asked to clear a background check and drug test upon hire
Preferred
Experience in B2B SaaS business analysis or product development preferred
