Head, Commercial Enablement

Responsibilities
Oversee commercial supply chain planning and execution, ensuring product availability and timely distribution to meet launch and market demand
Design and implement the commercial field operations model; including sales force structure, territory alignment, call planning, and performance management
Develop and manage the field incentive compensation plan, ensuring alignment with business priorities and compliance
Lead the development and execution of training strategies across sales, market access, and customer-facing teams, with a focus on launch readiness, clinical messaging, and selling excellence
Own CRM (e.g., Veeva), field reporting tools, and enablement platforms, ensuring optimal configuration and user adoption
Serve as the commercial business lead in cross-functional planning forums, ensuring field strategies are aligned with supply and distribution plans
Serve as the liaison between Commercial, CMC, and Operations to align demand forecasting, inventory management, and channel distribution strategies
Develop and implement order-to-cash processes in collaboration with Finance, Quality, and 3PL partners
Manage logistics vendors, distribution networks, and specialty pharmacy relationships to support commercial readiness
Support the establishment and monitoring of KPIs for product delivery, cold chain compliance, and customer service metrics
Lead the implementation, optimization, and adoption of CRM platforms and field productivity tools (e.g., Veeva, Salesforce)
Define field KPIs and reporting structures to track performance and inform decision-making
Collaborate with IT and Data teams to ensure seamless integration of commercial tech stack
Develop real-time dashboards, KPIs, and business insights to support field effectiveness and coaching
Lead regular field team performance reviews in partnership with Commercial and Sales leadership
Own field communications strategy to ensure consistent messaging and feedback flow
Lead cross-functional readiness efforts for launch, including alignment across Sales, Market Access, Supply Chain, Finance, Regulatory, and Medical Affairs
Establish launch execution dashboards and readiness checklists to track field and supply pre- and post-launch capabilities
Coordinate internal and external readiness reviews with executive leadership and operational teams
Develop commercial performance dashboards and field insights reports that support decision-making and strategic agility
Translate data into actionable insights for sales management and executive leadership
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree required
Minimum of 15 years of experience in biotech/pharma, including leadership roles in commercial operations, field enablement, and/or supply chain logistics
Proven track record of building field infrastructure and operational models to support new product launches
Experience with commercial supply chain operations, including 3PL partnerships, specialty distribution, and demand planning
Deep expertise in CRM systems (Veeva or Salesforce preferred), incentive compensation design, and field reporting tools
Strong understanding of U.S. commercial models, specialty product distribution, and launch best practices
Comfortable in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with the ability to prioritize and drive results
Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
Strong project management acumen with attention to detail and deadlines
Preferred
advanced degree (MBA, PharmD, MS) preferred
Experience in gene therapy, retinal diseases, or rare diseases strongly preferred
