Volt is a company that values its people and is currently hiring for a Test Engineer Technician. The role involves supporting manual and automated testing of space hardware, ensuring all test equipment is calibrated, and documenting any failures or anomalies during testing.

Responsibilities

Transport test equipment, fixtures, and cables to required testing locations

Setup tests per written documentation and engineering direction

Verify all test equipment is in calibration

Verify all licensed test software is not expired

Assemble custom or COTS equipment/fixtures

Performs test and records required information

Document failures and reports any anomalies to key stakeholders

Executing automated software using LabVIEW and/or TestStand GUIs

Troubleshooting failed assemblies with engineering oversight

Operate RF and/or digital test equipment including network analyzers, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, noise figure analyzers, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, DMMs and power supplies

Required

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience

Active TS with SCI clearance

Experience handling sensitive hardware

Very strong computer skills

Ability to strictly adhere to documented procedures

Prior experience with RF and/or digital technology

Preferred

Excellent communication, technical writing, and presentation skills

Experience handling very sensitive and fragile hardware, including mating and de-mating high density and RF connections

Experience with qualification testing, including vibration, thermal and thermal vacuum testing

Willing to work overtime as requested
