This role involves creating and maintaining sew drawings and specifications to support new product launches and engineering changes, requiring attention to detail and collaboration with various teams.

Responsibilities

Create accurate sew drawings for jigs and fixtures used in manufacturing processes

Develop detailed sew specifications to ensure consistency and quality in production

Load sew drawings and specifications into the AIS (Ashley Information System) for team access

Maintain and update existing documentation for ECO changes

Ensure all documentation meets quality standards and manufacturing requirements

Respond to and resolve email inquiries related to sew drawings and specifications

Collaborate with R&D, Engineering, and Production teams on New Go projects

Provide clarification and support to users of sew drawings and specifications

Document and communicate changes related to ECOs in a timely manner

Review drawings for accuracy and completeness before system upload

Identify opportunities to improve documentation processes and standards

Maintain organized records of all drawings and specifications

Support troubleshooting efforts when issues arise with jigs and fixtures

Required

Computer proficiency with ability to learn company-specific software systems (AIS)

Basic understanding of technical drawings and specifications

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation

Effective written and verbal communication skills for email correspondence

High school diploma or equivalent required

Preferred

Knowledge of furniture components, pieces, and industry terminology

Familiarity with manufacturing processes and fixtures

Experience with CAD software or technical drawing tools

Understanding of engineering change order (ECO) processes

Previous experience in R&D, engineering, or manufacturing support role

Associate degree in technical field or equivalent work experience preferred

1-2 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering support, or related field preferred

Experience in furniture manufacturing or related industry is a plus
