Responsibilities
Develop system and sub-system requirements, including decomposition and traceability to component-level requirements
Lead vehicle- and subsystem-level integration activities across hardware, software, and networked systems
Develop, maintain, and track requirements, validation plans, verification methods, and test results to ensure customer and program objectives are met
Utilize simulation and modeling tools (e.g., Simulink, LabVIEW) to model complex systems and inform requirements definition and design decisions
Coordinate and integrate design inputs from multiple internal engineering disciplines, as well as external suppliers and customer stakeholders
Design, develop, and support hardware, system, and validation test setups and environments
Integrate new hardware and technologies into existing and established system architectures, including legacy platforms
Evaluate system performance and feasibility for new hardware upgrades and technology insertions
Qualification
Required
U.S. Citizenship required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
5+ years of experience in systems engineering, including the design and optimization of complex, integrated systems
Demonstrated experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) practices
Experience developing, documenting, and managing system and subsystem requirements
Proficiency in creating and managing SysML and Simulink models and diagrams
Strong working knowledge of Ethernet, CAN Bus, PCIe, video distribution networks, and in-vehicle communication architectures
Proven ability to collaborate effectively with software, hardware, and network engineering and integration teams
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
Ability to quickly assimilate and apply new technical concepts, technologies, and system architectures
Preferred
Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline
Experience designing, configuring, and testing data and vehicle networks to ensure performance, reliability, and robustness
Experience with the engineering and integration of ground vehicle electronics systems and subsystems
Familiarity with V-Model development processes and lifecycle methodologies
Working knowledge of Vetronics systems and their applications
Understanding of business and systems processes, including requirements creation, refinement, and gap analysis
Strong customer-facing communication skills, with the ability to actively listen, identify needs, and translate them into technical solutions
Knowledge of network topology design, communications standards, and protocols
Currently holding or the ability to obtain a Secret DoD Security Clearance
Familiarity with defense system architecture frameworks such as MOSA, GCIA, and FACE
