Social Service Program Specialist 3 - Developmental Disabilities
Pierce County is the community and human services arm of the Pierce County government, and they are seeking a Social Service Program Specialist 3 to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The role involves coordinating services, monitoring contracts, and facilitating community outreach and education efforts.

Responsibilities
Develop program plans. Facilitate planning advisory board and public forums as appropriate. Coordinate citizen groups, service agencies, and other organizations involved in the planning process
Participate in local and statewide workgroups regarding planning and policy development
Assist Managers and Supervisors in the coordination and recruitment of citizen groups, service agencies, and other organizations involved in the planning process
Provide guidance in the implementation and monitoring of plans
Interpret complex or detailed federal or state regulations to ensure program compliance
Qualification
Required
Graduation from a four-year college or university with a Bachelor's degree in public or business administration, social work, or a related field
Three (3) years of professional social services work experience, which includes work with related programs, contracts, planning, or services required
Additional education or experience that clearly indicates the ability to perform the essential functions of this position may be substituted on a year-for-year basis
A valid Washington State driver's license is required when using a county vehicle
