Responsibilities
Monitoring electrical rooms via cameras and a variety of electrical distribution equipment such as Variable Frequency Drives, Uninterruptible Power Supplies, Diesel Generators, Breakers, High, Medium, and Low Voltage Buses, Relays, and other electrical equipment
Operating remote breakers and/or coordinate switching operations as necessary to provide reliable power to site stakeholders
Coordinating with other departments to troubleshoot issues, turn on/off loads, and communicate as necessary
Participating in safety activities to improve onsite safety and quality
Participating in briefs, which should include, but not limited to: actions performed during shift, any abnormal conditions, and outstanding action items
Providing technical assistance to junior team members as needed. Coach less experienced members of the team to improve overall level of knowledge and job satisfaction
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED is required
4+ years of experience required with SCADA, high to medium voltage operations
Strong knowledge of the NFPA 70E as it applies to industrial installations
Strong understanding of electrical distribution system and single line diagrams
Knowledge of standard practices of the Electrical trade
Preferred
some college or trade school preferred
Texas Electrician License, Journeyman or other related experience preferred
OSHA 30 training is a plus
