Responsibilities

Manages the daily Production requirements through subordinates
Provides short and long term strategic direction for department
Ensures team members are following procedures in order to ensure maximum efficiency, compliance and safety
Leads staff to ensure team members skills are utilized to the highest degree possible; leads coordination with Maintenance Training to ensure on-going enhancement of staff and skill set
Conducts regular meetings with Business Reviews and Boardwalks to ensure best possible communication, identification, and resolution of action items
Monitors the coordination of maintenance manpower requirements overtime and consistency with program scheduling and priorities
Maintains effective communication between Maintenance, Engineering, Facilities Maintenance and other Supply Chain groups
Ensures development, review and validation of maintenance requirements to ensure appropriate training for maintenance as well as leadership development
Ensures all mandatory requirements are scheduled/completed to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of the applicable aircraft, component, or engine flow plan as well as the safe operation of the fleet
Ensures team members know, understand and are engaged in achieving critical Metrics and key performance indicators
Develops LEAN Improvement Strategy
Manages hangar-wide flow of maintenance aircraft such as scheduled maintenance, mods and drop-ins by shift
Executes manpower deployment and shift production requirements

Required

Bachelor's degree in Business, Aeronautics or related field or equivalent experience/training
4 years experience leading other supervisory management personnel
Experience in positions requiring budget understanding, resource forecasting and management and workload planning in maintenance environments
3 years Aircraft Maintenance Operations or compliance equivalent experience
A&P License
Knowledge of audit requirements
Knowledge of labor reporting and crew utilization
Strong interpersonal and PC skills
Knowledge of the GPM and SPPM
Ability to concurrently manage multiple areas of responsibility
Excellent analytical, organization and planning skills
Must pass a background reference check and criminal fingerprint check
Ability to work effectively with all levels of team members
Some travel may be required

Preferred

5 years leadership experience
Lean, Continuous Improvement or Six Sigma experience
