Responsibilities
Developing construction design documents for excavations and earth work
Work closely with geologists for the development of appropriate excavation plans
Work with the CAD and GIS departments to develop engineering drawings
Develop appropriate specifications
Assist with coordinating subcontractor activities, ensuring schedules, work quality, and environmental controls are met during remedial action
Identify field issues, communicate effectively with project management, and propose practical solutions
Qualification
Required
BA/BS in Civil, Environmental, Geological, or Construction Engineering, or another related Engineering field
Minimum of 4 years of directly related experience
Proficiency with MS Office, including MS Word and MS Excel
Must be able to work in a construction-type environment and manage multiple projects concurrently
Effective oral and written communication, presentation skills, and the ability to complete projects independently and / or in small teams
Attention to detail and quality required
Preferred
Working knowledge of floodplain construction and permitting
Working knowledge of AutoCAD or similar software
OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
P.E. Certification
