Responsibilities

A deep understanding and knowledge of the concepts, principles, and practices of protocol, precedence, funding, military ceremonies, and traditions, both national and international

Proficient knowledge of the protocol and military operational planning process and ability to apply that knowledge in routine exercise, contingency, and real world operations

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly, concisely and effectively in responding and resolving work related inquiries and problems

Knowledge of standard organizational budget procedures

Skilled in working with high-level military and civilian officials, possess strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to build relationships, mediate, and handle sensitive situations with tact and diplomacy

Excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to handle multiple tasks, plan, organize, and direct functions and staff of military and civilian personnel to meet deadlines and manage complex events

Must be a U.S Citizen

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret/ SCI security clearance

May be required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise

Eligible for situational telework only, including Emergency and OPM prescribed 'unscheduled telework'

May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis

May be required to travel by military or commercial aircraft in the performance of TDY assignments

PCS /relocation funding is authorized

Subject to Temporary Duty Assignment (TDY): Approximately 15 days per year

This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to pre-employment drug testing as a condition of employment, and participation in random drug testing
