The Planet Group is seeking an experienced Epic Hospital Billing (HB) Claims Analyst to join their revenue cycle team for a full-time, permanent remote position. This role is responsible for designing, building, testing, and maintaining Epic HB Claims functionality to ensure clean claim generation, accurate reimbursement, and compliance with payer and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain Epic HB Claims workflows, rules, and configuration to support accurate and timely claim generation and submission
Collaborate with billing, revenue integrity, and IT teams to analyze business requirements and translate them into Epic system solutions
Monitor and resolve claim edit errors, ensuring claims pass cleanly through the system with minimal rework
Participate in system testing, upgrades, and optimization projects related to Hospital Billing and Claims
Develop and maintain system documentation, testing scripts, and change control records
Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for end users and interface issues impacting claims processing
Partner with other revenue cycle teams (PB, HIM, and Finance) to ensure integrated workflows and compliance with reimbursement standards

Required

Epic Hospital Billing (HB) Claims Certification required
Proven Epic build experience in Hospital Billing and Claims configuration
Strong understanding of claim generation, edits, remittance, and clearinghouse workflows
Experience working with payer requirements, claim formats (UB-04/837I), and compliance regulations
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or Information Technology preferred
Experience with Epic PB or Charge Router modules is a plus
